We've owned two pairs and have really enjoyed them.  My son's very first pair were these fun little ants in a teeny tiny size 2.  He was able to wear these when he learned to walk!

My son's second pair he wears currently.  I actually ordered a size up so that he could wear them more in the summer (we wear a lot of snow boots here in Indiana!) but since we received our package in the mail he keeps insisting on putting them on- so I let him wear them around the house!  I think he likes the "idea" of shoes but since they have a soft sole, he still feels more like when he is barefoot (which he loves).  Just FYI though, I've seen him run over rocks in these moccs and they seem to be pretty protective on his feet.  He can't quite explain that to me yet (he's only 2) but this mama is convinced that they are good shoes.

I love this print (Santa Fe) because it's made from the "weathered brown" leather which is basic enough that it can go with so many different outfits but it's got a little peek-a-boo print on the back that makes it a little more "fun".

Freshly Picked + Chubby Bunny, Happy Home SUMMER GIVEAWAY!!!

Ah, it's finally starting to really feel like summer around here.  We've officially been to a pool party, attended a festival and have added rompers (oooh how we love those cute rompers) to our son's clothing rotation.  My husband and I also celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary yesterday.  You've probably seen my most popular post (personalized photo map) which I made for our 1 year anniversary.  How time flies!  We love summer around here.  My son loves playing outdoors and I love how much summer has to offer.  Hello vacation, swimming, beautiful flowers and gatherings with friends and family.

We actually tried our first pair of Freshly Picked moccasins about 7 months ago.  Those ants are about the cutest print I've ever seen and I loved that they could go with almost anything (since they were black and white) so that's what we got.

Why are these little moccs so darn popular?  It's as simple as 1-2-3:

1. They're cute (duh)

2. They stay on babe's feet! Not only do they not slip off but my son had trouble pulling them off his feet too... (which he does during every single car ride)

3. They are great quality. Every pair of soft soled moccs are made from 100% leather with elastic around the ankle.  We were *sort of * able to experience this but since I got a size 2 he outgrew them fast (first kid, I had no clue.  Oh well...) However, I was amazed to see how well they "bounce back" from being roughed up. These moccs stood up to my rough and tumble boy!

Those pink lemonade ones have a woven texture to them.  You've got to see them close up!

And of course, I love some of the more neutral prints.  Because these shoes run at $60 a pair (hefty price for tiny shoes I know, but they are great quality) I personally would have to buy something I knew he could wear all the time.  Prints like these are so subtle and pretty they could be worn with almost any outfit (psst... they have others like stone, granite, black and even camo online so check them out)

Valentine's Hack + GIVEAWAY! {Freshly Picked + Chubby Bunny, Happy Home}

Today I want to take a break from the decorating series that we have been working on (Haven't been following along?  Catch up on tips from posts 1, 2,3 and 4!) to share a quick Valentine's tip for you.  If you're like me, you might want to do a little something for the kiddos in your life (be it your own, friend's kids or nieces and nephews) but you are JUST. SO. BUSY.

Seriously, is it possible that I spend an entire day making meals, cleaning up meals and going up and down the stairs (my son loves the stairs so we spend a lot of time there)?  I know that there is no way I'm going to get some adorable Valentine's craft made for all of my nieces and nephews.

... in steps Target's Dollar Bins.  Come on ladies- you know what I'm talking about here.  The mecca of adorable stuff priced at $1 (or sometimes just a dollar or two more).  This year it was my saving grace and I want to share with you how I put together really cute Valentines for $4 a kid.

Step 1:  Check out your local Target store and see what goodies you can find.  If yours has these envelopes, get one for each child.  I can't get over how sweet they are and it makes such a neat presentation.  All of mine are getting mailed out so having something like this seems more fun that just having a bunch of random things shoved in a paper mailer (plus it keeps the items separate for each child if going to siblings!)

Step 2: Buy the stuff and GET OUT OF THE STORE before you spend 10 million dollars.  You know what I mean....

Step 3: Include a card (I made these in just a few minutes at home) and write a message for your little loved one.
