Free Spring Printable

It might be spring officially, but it was c-c-c-COLD today in the Hoosier State!  So I was inspired to make some easy spring décor to brighten things up inside while we wait for things to warm up outside.  Of course, I wanted to share it with you.  So please enjoy this FREE PRINTABLE of one of my favorite quotes (it's even hanging in my daughter's room) in a very clean, crisp design.

Just click on the link below and download your free printable.  Sized to fit an 8x10 but because of it's white background you can easily resize it in whatever program you have and it will work in whatever frame you'd like!  I'm on the hunt for a great square frame to put mine in!

I'd love to see how you display your new printable so make sure to tag me @cutcraftcreate and inspire us all!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Printable Questionnaire & Coloring Page about 'Grandma'

Although grandmas deserve a private island, 62 million dollars and a personal army of adorable snuggly puppies that house-train themselves & bring fresh beverages on demand, most of us probably can't give that to our amazing moms this Mother's Day. But for a grandma, hearing the sweet words & drawings from their ever-precious grandbabies is just as good. That's why I put together a few printables for you to have your child fill out (or you write down their answers for them) and color to show grandma just how special she is this Mother's Day.

You might want to throw in some chocolate too. And in my kids' mamaw's case: a large Code Red Mountain Dew.  Can't go wrong with "from the mouth of babes", chocolate and caffeine. It's the triple threat.

Just download (link below pics) and print!

Enjoy! Happy Mother's Day. [note: on my printer I had to click "shrink to fit" so that it didn't fill it to the edge. I recommend testing one out before printing multiples to make sure your computer settings are correct.]

Because I have the best mom in the world who actually reads all of my blog posts, I can't share our finished one here but I'd love to hear some of your little ones' sweet responses! Share them on my facebook page or in the comments below!

8 Free Mother's Day Card Printables/Coloring Pages (inside & outside)

One of the greatest holidays is coming up in the next few weeks... Mother's Day.  I don't only say this because I am a mother and am hoping to get an extra nap or shower in (best.gift.ever.) but because my own mom is my best friend.  I think we should recognize how awesome mothers are all 365 days of the year but it's always fun to go "above and beyond" on this national day.  My mom is also an amazing grandma (mamaw) to my son who thinks she hangs the moon.  Seriously, the two of them are best buds.  It doesn't matter what we are doing, if I say "let's go see mamaw" my son heads straight to the door no questions asked.  It's very funny.  For the record, he also has 3 other grandmas who are AMAZING as well, I was just already talking about my mom there.

I also understand how hard it is to have a toddler "make" their own cards to send to grandma.  Sure, I could get his hand print or footprint.  (Actually, other people can do that I most definitely cannot.) Or... I could just have him color his own picture.  This is also a great option for older kids who would like to color/design their own card with a little guidance.  (They are basically coloring pages!)

{I trimmed mine up a little more than I meant to, it prints with more white around the edges and bottom.}

Because I'm sure there are lots of you out there who are in the same boat as me, I created a few FREE printables for you.  I've created an inside and outside to each card but feel free to mix and match (just know that some are horizontal and some are vertical!) Just click, print, fold in half, color and share!  Each card also has a spot on the back for the child's name.

[Hint, Hint dads- mom's love stuff that their kids make.  We find it adorable and it melts our heart.  Pair this with an uninterrupted nap and you've got a happy mama]

{I forgot to get a photo of him coloring and when I tried to get him to do it again he just looked at it and ate his apple like "yea, we're done here.}

{Cards for mom, grandma or whoever!}

Note:  Cards are pictured in collage format to see front and back together.  Please notice that card is not folded at red line and actually folds in half the opposite direction.  Cards do not have a red border and print at size 8x10.  You may cut them down to whatever size you like.)

Top 2 photos show the front and back.  Bottom two photos show the other options available for the front of the card.

"I love you mom" OUTSIDE

"I love you grandma" OUTSIDE

"I love you mamaw" OUTSIDE

"so glad you're mine" INSIDE

Of course we needed a flower option- classic mother's day.  Have your little one draw a special picture for mom, step-mom, grandma or whoever!

"flowers" OUTSIDE

"special picture" (vertical) INSIDE

{Cards just for mom}

 Get them thinking about what makes mom so great!

"reasons why" OUTSIDE

"reasons why" INSIDE

This one is funny because it's true.  What a loving little monster.

"love monster" OUTSIDE

"love monster" INSIDE

Was it really even a competition?

"trophy" OUTSIDE

"trophy" INSIDE

Another "draw a special picture" option but with a horizontal layout.

"banner" OUTSIDE

"special picture" (horizontal) INSIDE

{That's It!}
I hope I was able to help you out with your Mother's Day card this year.  When it comes down to it, moms just want to know that they are loved and with a hand colored card from their little one, they are sure to feel it! <3

Free Printables + b.box review & GIVEAWAY!

Whew!  The "construction" going on here at Cut, Craft, Create is (for the most part) complete and things are finally getting back into their normal patterns.  After you're finished with this post, please take a look around and let me know what you think.  We now have tabs to help you find what you are looking for faster and easier (excuse the "About Me" tab, it seems to have a glitch- I'm still working on it!).  I also need to go through all my old posts and re-label them to sort them in these tabs.  Because of this, check back over the next week or so to make sure you catch all the projects that are supposed to fall in those categories.  We also have a new design/color scheme.  What are your thoughts?

Now... onto the good stuff.  Thanks for letting me destroy and rebuild the blog over this last week and for being patient with me.  While working on this, I didn't work on a new craft but did want to offer you some FREE Printables and a GIVEAWAY of one of my new favorite companies.

[Disclosure of Material Connection:  I received one or more of the products mentioned in this post for free from the b.box company to try out.  However, all opinions are my own and I was not required to write a positive review.  Giveaway items are from the b.box company and are not in exchange for a positive review.]

b.box
I was recently introduced to this company and I asked to revue the following products:
1. Sippy cup
2.Snack Pack

Sippy Cup
I'm always on the hunt for a good sippy cup.  My son is so rough with his cups and it's hard to find one that doesn't leak/spill, is easy to hold, and doesn't restrict the flow of water too much (he loves to take big drinks and some cups are frustrating!)

This {award winning!} cup is made with an innovative weighted straw so that babe can drink to the very last drop!  I hadn't even thought about that but looking back at our other straw cups, there was always water in the bottom that the straw couldn't reach.  Better reach means having to fill the cup less!  I've had friends with kids ask me about this cup and comment about how they've never seen anything like it!  The weighted end falls to the bottom no matter what direction the cup is tilted- cool huh?

{I realize that it looks like the cup is tilted to the right and the straw isn't.  That's my "creative" photo skills- ha!  The cup is flat.}

The top of the straw has a + shaped opening which closes back up when babe isn't drinking from it.  That means less spill (especially when your kiddo likes to turn it upside down and shake it... go ahead, ask me how I know).  Even though the straw is skinny, my son has no trouble getting enough water out of it when he drinks, which makes my water-loving-babe very happy.

My only concern is proper cleaning.  Straw cups always make me nervous because it's hard to really get in there and clean it.  Right now we only put water in it but I still wonder.  The great thing about this cup is that it's dishwasher safe and the company makes replacement straws & cleaning tool so I feel a whole lot better about it than I do with most other sippy cups!

The last part that I love love love is the lid.  It screws onto the cup so it STAYS ON (!!!) Oh, pardon my excitement.  My little guy is super into throwing things.  It's our one real battle right now (well, that and sitting during meals) and I can't count the number of times he has thrown a cup and the lid pops right off- spilling water everywhere.  That doesn't happen with this cup.  The lid also slides closed so I can easily shut it and toss it into the diaper bag or my son can slide it open to pop the straw out.  Lastly, the lid has 2 handles that stick out the side, making it easy for little ones to hold while drinking or while walking around.  That's important you know, because we must be able to hold our teddy bear and our sippy cup and scoot around on our tractor all at the same time.

Snack Pack
Now onto this little helper!  Kids (or adults if you are like me) always seem to be snacking.  It's hard to be "out and about" without stopping for a snack break between meals. It can get expensive (and often results in unhealthy options) to always run through a drive through for a snack.  This little snack container is awesome.  Since I've received this product, I have used it literally every time we've gone out, and many times at home!

Here's why I like it:
First, it has two separate compartments.  I like to bring a couple different snacks for a little variety and let's be fair- toddlers can be picky every now and then. (ha!) I used to pack several mini-containers but this is way easier.  The two compartments are connected and the lid covers both sections at the same time.

{This was ours the other day as we were waiting on lunch.  Yes, Mr. Alligator had to come along}

Secondly, it has a silicone bottom that prevents it from slipping around.  Oh, and it's also just really neat looking... but I'm sure the no-slipping thing is more important.  I love the green color on ours!

It also comes with a spoon in case you are traveling with a snack like applesauce or leftovers.  The spoon fits right into the lid so you wont lose it- what a neat design!

Some of our favorite combinations are:
Quesadilla bites + Grapes
Cheese + fruit (blueberries, strawberries and apples taste great with cheese!)
Dip (like hummus) + strips of toast or veggies

Everything I've shared is dishwasher safe.  That's a biggie for me because if I can't wash it in the dishwasher then it's probably going to stay dirty somewhere in our house (gross but true).

New Stuff
I'm so glad I've been introduced to this company- they have such neat innovative products!  At the end of this month (February) they have three new items coming out: (1) bowl & straw (2) divided plate (3) cutlery set.

This bowl & straw is made so that little ones can drink up liquids (such as soup) and then use the spoon to finish what's left at the bottom.  It also comes with a "snack" lid so that you can use the same container to carry snacks around on-the-go!  Lastly, it comes with a closed lid so that you can store any leftovers without getting a new container.  3-in-1 means less dishes.  That = great for busy mamas and papas.

The divided plates are made with silicone sides for easy grip and three compartments to keep food separate.  My kid dips everything into everything else, but I know some kiddos who hate having their food touch- this would be perfect for them!  I think this would be great for teaching portions as well.

I'm most excited about this cutlery set.  The fork is made with 3 prongs sort of in a circle and the spoon is made to not only use as a spoon but to help babe scoop food onto the fork as well.  I love how this company comes up with such unique designs for their products.  I will definitely be trying these out soon!

Stay tuned for these items to go live on their website.  Click the individual links above to see more or just head over to bboxbaby.com to check out all their products.

Easy Tips for Fall Decorating

Hello again.  I hope everyone has had a great week since you've been here last.  I have had a CRAZY week and I should probably be working on a hundred other things right now but oh well, right?  If you can't make time to craft then the week really isn't that good is it?

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I decided to make a Thanksgiving themed craft.  I don't usually decorate for Thanksgiving, so I needed something easy with crisp, clean lines.  You know... nothing too over the top since I'm not used to it!  What I came up with was a lovely printable (it's free, scroll down!) that reminds us to be thankful.

I also wanted to share the fall decoration that my mom made for her front steps.  I love the simpleness of it but find it absolutely stunning.  I think I actually gasped when I first saw it and compliment her on it every time I visit now.

I can sometimes be a little over-the-top on... everything, so I appreciate the opportunity to use simple designs in my decorating.  I think this holds particularly true in the month of Thanksgiving when we recognize how grateful we are for the simple things that we sometimes take for granted.

Simple and to the point.  For an extra touch, I included a little green on there.  I love random splashes of color!

For this printable (it's an 8x10) click here.

For the potted decor, my mom said that she spent around a dollar on the whole thing!

The flower pot was from my wedding, as was the burlap.  The gourds and corn she got on sale for around a dollar.  All you need to do is fill the bottom of the pot with whatever filler you desire (so that everything keeps from sinking to the bottom) and layer it up!

These simple pieces speak volumes when it comes to fall decorating.  Don't be afraid to keep it simple and enjoy!

Free Printables and Facebook Covers

Hey all.  It is T-2 days until my cousin's baby shower that I am hosting for her.  I wish I had the whole week to work on it and it alone but you can't win them all right?  Because of this, I am focusing my attention on baby shower stuff only.  Yep, you guessed it: no Thursday post.

I feel bad leaving you high and dry though so I whipped up a few printables to make your day shine a little brighter.  I don't know about you, but we were up at 1:20 this morning, waiting out a tornado warning.  A little sunshine and happy sure couldn't hurt us here.

This is a full sized piece that can be printed and hung for an easy way to brighter your day (I think I might put it in my craft room!)

Get it here.

Here's a matching facebook cover.  I like the simple nature of a few words written on a (mostly) solid background.

Get it here.

Okay, here is one more that I actually make for my personal facebook page the other day.  If you love Dr. Seuss or are passionate about anything, this is the cover for you:

Get it here.

{That's It}
Sorry to leave you hanging with no craft project, but I hope you enjoy some of these free printables/facebook cover photos.  Speaking of Facebook, if you haven't done so yet, please "like us" on facebook to get instant access to posts, photos, links and conversations.

One last thing...
Since I feel so darn bad for leaving you craft-less, how about next week (either Monday or Thursday) I do a GIVEAWAY?!  Sounds good right?  Make sure you don't miss it (another reason to like us on facebook!) and other crafty goodness too!

A Christmas Greeting Printable

Can you believe it is December 10th already?  DECEMBER TENTH!!! That means I have 15 days to get all the Christmas shopping done and wrapped, all the treats made and delivered to the neighbors and all the Christmas cards put together and sent out.  Worst thing is, I haven't really begun any of these *panic setting in*.  Oh well, for now I will just drink my coffee and take a break with you fine folks.

I would love to give you all a sneak peek of our Christmas Card that we are sending out but I am running a shade behind on it's production.  In lieu of that I will give you a Christmas "card" online!  I will even include a link to the image so that you can use it for your own season's greetings, for wrapping paper (think tiled images) or even just to print and put into a frame for some last minute decor or gift giving.  You can use it for whatever your heart desires- my gift to you!

I love when words literally take shape!  As I was thinking of what to write in here, I just kept thinking "mittens on kittens" which is what my husband says when referring to the "My Favorite Things" song.  Isn't that funny?  I guess that is one of those personal jokes that only we think is funny... so I left it out.

Interested in having this?  HERE is the link to print or save it!

{Your Turn}
I hope that you all are farther on your Christmas to-do list than I am and have enjoyed today's post. I should probably get myself around and get working on that other Christmas card... you know, the one I actually need to send out in 2 days! See you on Thursday!

Happy Crafting,

A Message For All Girls (and Women)

Good Morning my friends.  My plan today was to bring you a new cold-weather craft.  However, I have been noticing lately that there is an issue that needs to be addressed.  No, this is not political.  It has nothing to do with social security, taxes or war.  It has to do with the way people (women especially) are viewing themselves in the world today.  With social media being so easy and accessible, girls are making their feelings more and more known.  Wouldn't you agree?  A status update or a new "tweet" only take a moment to make.  Similarly, it is easier than ever to bring people down.  It seems that people think of virtual words as less harmful than face-to-face words.  Just to clear things up:  They are NOT less harmful.

It breaks my heart to see these girls (of all ages) feeling insecure with who they are.  I know that my blog isn't the most popular one out there, but if my message gets across to just one person, I will feel that it was worth my time.  I want each and every woman to know that they are truly special, that they are loved and that they do have a purpose that nobody else can fulfill.

That being said, I wanted to also make a few printables on this subject that I am happy to share with you.  If you or somebody you know would benefit from seeing these words, please do not hesitate to print them out, hang them up, or make them your computer wallpaper.  Use them in any way that will encourage you or those you love.

{Please enjoy & share these free printables}
Image of God
Keep Being You
You Are Beautiful
You are NOT insignificant
You Are... {You}

Girls, Women, Everyone listening:
YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL.  Inside and Out.  YOU ARE NEEDED.  Even when you think that no one notices you.  YOU HAVE A PURPOSE.  God has a plan and I promise you, that in time you will see it too.

I know that it is hard sometimes to see yourself as special.  I know that sometimes life is really really hard and it seems that nothing is going your way.  I know that people are mean and that words really do hurt.  I know that sometimes it is not so easy to figure out who you are.  Yet, I know that you (yes YOU) are so capable and wonderful and specially made to be exactly who you are.  Please don't ever give up on yourself, because I promise you:  There are people out there who have never even met you, who love you and can't wait to see you succeed.  Really.  It sounds crazy but it's true.

Similarly, girls be nice to each other.  Love yourself and don't try to make yourself feel better by bringing others down.  There is enough room in this world for everyone to be happy.  Being mean wont make you happier anyways, not in the long run.  You might be surprised who you can find a friend in, so give them a chance.

Now that I've got that all off my chest, I hope it has made a difference for someone- anyone.  I will see you all again on Thursday.  You are beautiful and you are loved.

Kelsie Ann
